The Trustees, staff, volunteers and clients of Age Concern Elham Rural are proud to announce that Lisa Hodden, our Chief Officer, has been awarded KCC Social Service’s “Partnership Award’ for 2007/8.

The citation for this award, written by a Kent Social Services manager Fran Morgan-John, reads as follows:

Lisa and her team work to one objective: To provide the very best quality care, within a stimulating and ever changing environment, that reaches and welcomes every older person within her community. Lisa’s answer to the question is ‘yes of course we can’ and this is followed through with enthusiasm, a great sense of humour and total professionalism.

She is willing to challenge, work in partnership and takes time to seek out new and exciting opportunities. As a mentor for students she shares her knowledge and expertise without compromise.

Age does not have to be a barrier and Lisa is a catalyst for innovation putting the Service Users at the heart of her work.

Age Concern Elham Rural, based in Lyminge, has been transformed into a centre of excellence in the field of Community Day Care with the leadership and dedication of Lisa and her team.
